Brass Clocks and Station Clocks
With a name like A Simpler Time, it's probably not much of a surprise that we carry a wide range of antique style clocks, including train station clocks, brass clocks, and a wide range of large wall clocks.
In fact, when A Simpler Time started in the Mall of America in 1997, the name referred to growing up in a Norman Rockwell style era and was not necessarily a reflection of our clock selection. At that time, we stocked mostly smaller, more generic, nostalgic clocks.
Over the years, as more people either called or searched us out assuming we were a clock store, we decided the customer is always right. We started carrying large replica antique wall clocks, many exceeding 30 inches in diameter, which were perfect for today's larger homes and vaulted ceilings.
These larger wall clocks started out as pretty simple timepieces-round masonite disks with antiqued image faces. But eventually they became fairly intricate, as brass accents and even interior pendulums were added to these battery operated, larger wall clocks.

In addition to our wall clocks, we've become known for nautical-style brass clocks, including clocks built into diving helmets, portholes, and ship wheels, and for our brass station clocks-two-sided clocks that resemble railroad station timepieces from long ago.
When we first opened in 1997, we never could have dreamed that our store name would spawn a merchandise category that has become among our best sellers. To many of our customers, A Simpler Time has become synonymous with the very finest and most unique large wall clocks, brass clocks, and train station clocks.
